            The Czech Sports Association (CSA) involves sports federations, sports clubs  and their civic unions established in compliance with the Act of Citizen Associations NR. 83/1990 CL.

            The goal of the CSA is to advance sports, physical education, tourism and sports representation.  Other goals of the organisation, is to represent and protect the rights and interests of associated organisations, to offer them usefull services and to create the optimal platform for cooperation. The organisations associated with CSA maintain their full independence, property and individual activities.

The CSA was founded in 1990. Compraised of 43 sports federations and 5 521 sports clubs. At present the CSA includes 93 sports federations and 9 222 sports clubs. The CSA has more than 1,5 million members. The goals and organising structure of the CSA conforms with the European standards of ENGSO. CSA is a democratic organisation , autonomous, fully independent and politicaly non partisan.

            The CSA General Assembly is the supreme organ of CSA. The CSA General Assembly consists of a board of Federations and its Clubs representatives. It meets regularly once a year. Between are meetings of the CSA Executive Commitee witch fulfills all the requirements of CSA.

Similarly the Regional CSA (RCSA) sports associations develop their activities in each region of the Czech Republic. The CSA Statutes are the basic document for CSA activities.

The Jihlava region has 5 sports federations and 93 sports clubs, with a total of 17 029 members  as of December 31,2008. The representatives of these members vote for the executive officers named Vykonny vybor – 8 members, president of the Regional CSA Jihlava (RCSA) and advisory board. The election period is for four years.

The offer for the sports clubs – members of the Regional CSA Jihlava

 

            The Regional CSA Jihlava offers sports clubs who are members of the Regional CSA Jihlava the following:

  1. Supports the activities of sports organisations – members of CSA and makes programs that conform with their interests.
  2. The RCSA is deeply involved in helping sports clubs with funding, acconting, budget management, stationary and office supplies. Helps to advance sports, physical education, tourism and related activities
  3. Asserts, protects and defends the interests of sports clubs against goverment and/or political interference.
  4. Cooperates with the political bodies and municipial authorities.
  5. Maintains partnerships with other sports organisations in the Czech Republic and with international sports organisations.
  6. Established a common financial system and common audit system.

 

In reality these facts mean:

 

  1. RCSA Jihlava distributes the financing to its members of the sports clubs i. e. 60,- CZK for each participants.
  2. RCSA Jihlava distributes the funding for reimbursements of costs e. g. rental, namely 0,10 CZK for each 1,- CZK costs.
  3. RCSA Jihlava offers to all its members sports accident insurance.
  4. RCSA Jihlava offers the sports clubs:

·        Economic guidance.

·        Financial guidance.

·        Clerical services – copying, creating sports materials, bulletins and presentations.

·        Computers services – creating e-mail adresses, internet communications and creating web sites.

·        Promotes and encourages cooperation between its members.
